Playing and saving progress
Your browser stores game progress, best times, statistics and preferences so you can return to them. Clearing site data removes these local saves. A signed-in account can also save progress on our servers.
Posting a daily time as a guest saves a guest ID, generated player name and submitted times. You can keep these times when you create or link an account.
Accounts, leaderboards and friends
You can sign in with an email and password, Google or LinkedIn. We receive the account details your sign-in provider shares, such as your email and profile name.
Your player name and leaderboard times are public. Friends and challenge features store the players involved, the shared puzzle and results. Do not use private information as your player name.
Account and game data are kept while needed to provide these features. You can request deletion or correction through the contact above. Removing browser data alone does not delete server records.
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics measures page visits, games started and completed, hints, shares and sign-up steps. Google may process identifiers, IP addresses and device or browser information.
Analytics loads automatically unless you have turned it off. You can turn it off below; your choice is stored for up to 180 days. Turning analytics off removes analytics cookies we can access and reloads the page to stop running analytics scripts. Earlier data already received by Google is not erased by that choice.
Game saves, authentication and your privacy choice use storage needed for the features you request. These remain available when you reject analytics.
Service providers and your rights
Cloudflare hosts the site and processes network information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect it. Supabase handles accounts and saved game data, currently stored in the EU. Providers may also process information in other countries under their applicable transfer safeguards. Google Fonts receives your IP address and browser information when loading the site’s fonts.
We use account and game data to provide the service, network information for security and delivery, and analytics to understand how the game is used. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal data, object to processing or withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
