Arrow keys move. Enter starts a rectangle; arrows resize it; Enter places it. Escape cancels. Delete removes a patch. Control or Command Z undoes.
About this board
Eighteen numbered clues cover the canvas with mostly upright strokes: an 8 that runs eight cells down the third column, a 7 down the right edge, and a row of 5s, 4s and 3s beside them. Only three patches are fixed at the start, a 5 along the top-left and two short pieces in the bottom corners. The tall 6 in the upper middle needs elimination, because its other spots would strand a neighbour.
